Holland and Barrett is expanding its card loyalty program and has ordered a further five million cards for its customers.
The health food chain had signed a Macclesfield manufacturer to produce a million cards for its loyalty schemes across 40 selected stores earlier this year.
The programme signed up around 200,000 shoppers in the north and the midlands during a 19-week trial but now the firm is rolling the scheme out nationwide. The business estimates that it will sign up 2.5 million customers to the system in its first full year.
The retailer loyalty cards and key fob cards will enable customers to present them at the till to get points on their purchases. For every pound spent, the consumer will receive four points which can be exchanged for coupons to use in-store.
