Body Sculpting: Reshaping Problem Areas
jog

Sometimes going on a diet just isn’t enough to give us the body we are looking for. If you have reached your ideal weight and still find that you have problem areas that keep you from looking and feeling your best, body sculpting can put the finishing touches on that body you have worked so hard to get in shape.

There are actually two very different ways in which to approach body sculpting, one is through cosmetic surgery and the other is through exercise. Both serve their place in shaping that body you have been looking for; it is just a matter of knowing what works.

For example, some women reach their target weight and after weeks and months of rigorous exercise find that they are unable to lose the flab under their arms or on their lower abdomen. This might be the perfect time to consult with a plastic surgeon who is fully accredited to perform surgery in the UK.

Depending on the area of the body, a cosmetic surgeon might suggest a liposuction regimen or perhaps a surgical procedure called a tummy tuck if that is the area in question. Keep in mind that liposuction is only suited to those women who are at or near their target weight as it treats only specific problem areas. Liposuction is not for those who are significantly overweight – that’s what diets and gastric bypass surgeries are for.

Body sculpting, on the other hand, is a way to deal with those problem areas once and for all. Whether it is your chin, arms, thighs, buttocks or even your tummy, liposuction can get rid of those fat cells that will not grow back once they are gone.

However, let’s be realistic. No, those fat cells are gone forever once they have been removed but this doesn’t mean that you can go on an eating binge and expect to keep that new sculpted body. It will just expand into a larger, rounder version of your new sculpted body.

Body sculpting, be it exercise or surgical, is really intended for those who are willing to work on the figure they dream of having. Even the most globally renowned plastic surgeons don’t have a magic wand. They can help sculpt your new dream body, but it is up to you to keep it through diet and exercise.
